Population aging is widely recognized as a major demographic feature and challenge of the current century. The task to find genetic factors that affect the aging rate is of great importance as we can get insights into the aging process. The goal of this paper is to study the association between genetic factors and the aging rate. By performing a genome-wide association study\, we first calculate the polygenic risk score. Next\, we construct a model which allows the aging rate to depend on the polygenic risk score. We apply our methods to We apply our methods to mortality outcomes of two cohorts: 1911-1920 and 1921-1930.
