CESR scientists and staff collaborate in a stimulating, multi-disciplinary environment where they are able to conduct research that informs effective policies for improving societal welfare.
As part of the University of Southern California, CESR takes advantage of the breadth and depth of disciplines at USC. Collaborations are under way with many of USC’s colleges and other research centers.
Research in the social sciences increasingly crosses disciplinary borders. CESR embraces this approach with projects that consist of complimentary teams of staff from multiple disciplines. Staff at CESR also work with new technologies, such as low-cost medical tests, brain activity measures, smart phones, GPS devices, Q- codes, and wearable fitness tracking hardware. These new data collection devices have revolutionized what scientists can observe.
