About us


The Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) is an interdisciplinary research center in the USC Dornsife College of Letters, Arts and Sciences, led by Arie Kapteyn. The goal of the center is to conduct a wide range of research projects in the social sciences and economics, often in collaboration with other departments and schools at USC. CESR will be an exciting, new, and innovative environment for both fundamental and applied research.

The mission of the Center for Economic and Social Research (CESR) is to conduct in-depth research and analysis to improve the understanding of human behavior in economic and social contexts.

CESR has offices in Playa Vista, California and Arlington, Virginia.
